What’s the bare minimum as far as wires needed to be connected to bench test the HU? 12v constant, 12v ACC, and ground? I have a 12VDC power supply in the shop I can bench test it on, since it’s like 12* outside right now =)Check the fuse in the Fuse panel, and make sure the fuse behind the HU is good if it has one. Id start there. If all good. Id pull the HU out and try powering it up at the Battery. You could possibly have gotten the wrong wiring harness??? It happens
I use 12ga ofc with gator clips quite a bit. but smallest I myself use is 14ga for almost everything except amplifiersWhat’s the bare minimum as far as wires needed to be connected to bench test the HU? 12v constant, 12v ACC, and ground? Thanks for the advice
Nothing to be embarrassed about man. All these new electronics are so much different from back in the day when I first started with this hobby.(Like 1984) Tells you about how old I am, LOL, I always run across an issue with new products. My old amps and HUs are very simplistic. I always use a 12v battery and/or a 200 amp charger while testing things out.Embarrassing as it is, the firmware didn’t take on the first Maestro flash so it wasn’t passing accessory power through. Works now!!
