so how do you get a sub out of a flushmount if the face is pointed up? turn the box upside down? lever it out w/ something?? what?

right, but what if you're unable to get to it from behind?

flushmount in a wall wouldn't be as hard because once unscrewed, the mag would drop down thus protruding the bottom portion of the sub

Hmm..I figured they would have somewhere to rest while screwing the sub in instead of having to hold it it place while putting screws in.

I wish it were that simple

I did that.

shifted the mag on one of my old HC's as well........

You hit the back of the enclosure like a ketchup bottle.

You take a screw or something similar and carefully lift it up using the screw hole and/or mounting gasket.
