I got a summons for doing 30+ over in NC. Spent ALL day in criminal court. When they called my name, the trooper was called too. They said you are charged with speeding 60 in a 55 how do you wish to plea, I said guilty. $50 fine and $50 court fees. Like said above, dress up and be courteous. Maybe you will get lucky too. Yes, they can suspend your license so make it a point to say you need your car for work. They don't want you to lose your job to prove a point.
