Flex indication of SPL?

^^^^^^^^ very very very true to me a 149 sounds the same as a 151 shhh after the tl i even still couldnt belive my 149 box wasnt louder cause it sounded louder then the 151 box and actually seemed to flex the truck more

Been there many times.

3-5db @ the same note is approx the point where you can say without a doubt there is a difference. You *can* notice a small difference if you A/B it (turn the volume up and down 1 or 2 notches)... but not if you burp and come back after a period of time.

Well phunk, I know moving my box back made a drastic change, even more so than doubling my power. The fact that it is finally loud enough to cause pain even with ear protection has to be a good thing, I hope, guess I'll know on sunday when I step up to the mic.

what do you mean exactly by move?? closer farther from the hatch to one side of the truck flipped it around????

Yeah, I know my ears ****. Before I moved the box, I couldn't move my wipers or a t-shirt in the window and could breathe in the truck. I should hit 15x too, I hit 143.5 with one destroyer at 2kw in a nasty box.

I would love to see your setup, but just because you offered to show it to me. I have peeked in Toxic Tuan's truck though, so won't be the firt loud explorer I have seen.

Picked up 2 more PB 3000d, won't have them till next weekend (4 total).

1X event right? If no one asks, I am going to play a 30 second track I made with 5 frequencies 4 sec duration with silence in between. Going to try to find a db jams and a couple bass race cds for just in case.

Spent all day trying to pretty stuff up, mount things, install dash panels:blush: . My truck is so tore apart right now, I hope they don't throw me in extreme. Got my 4 gauge sub wires in, rear seats back in.

Still got to wash my truck, duct tape port and subs, mess with my laptop a little, and go look for cds. Busy, busy, busy.

Might even try to fabricate a horn (aero style port end) later if I can't sleep.

Didn't know there was a bass race, that was why I went:furious: .

I jumped up 2nd to qualify and hit 146.6 at 38 hz, I was so disappointed I didn't hit 50 I immediately went to tweak on it until I popped a cap. Didn't even know I was in first:blush: . Couldn't do 46 again with one amp. Welcome me to the club.

Since then I have built another removable port much smaller and seems to have made great changes (hair trick) can't wait for next (1x) comp.
