Ok im gonna be fiberglassing and enclosure for 2 JL 10w0's, and the rear of the enclosure is just going to be a flatwall... would it be best to just use MDF for that flat part and attach fiberglass to that, or to make it a one piece fiberglass enclosure with the flatside glassed as well?

staples will go through fiberglass??? lol sry but i havent ever really worked with mdf, and im not real sure of it properties with fiberglass

Yes. But just to clarify.....you staple the 'glass mat to the MDF before resin is applied to the 'glass mat.

Sorry, just wanted to make sure you weren't trying to staple hardened 'glass to the MDF.

alright... well thats what i was wondering... lol

thanks for the help

......

Thats only 63 wrms per sub, id send those atleast 150wrms each.

hmmmm... If i wire them like the first pic on this page (parrallel i think it is)... wouldnt they be getting 125W each?

and if im completely wrong, then what would a good amp be?

You can wire those subs to 1, 4, or 8 ohm, and im gunna say im sure that amp isnt 1 ohm stable so you would be stuck wiring them seperate at 4 ohms each and therefore losing half your power from the amp, then it has to split that half between the two subs giving you only 62 watts per sub.

alright so i need to find an amp with power of 300W RMS x 1 @ 4 Ohm? and that would give me 150W to both subs? how would i wire the subs together with the amp in that setup?
