flapping?

Hi everyone,

I am currently using an amp that my friend let me borrow to power my 10" cvr. The sub kind of makes a flapping sound when i turn up the volume. This isnt normal is it? I was just wondering if it could be that the amp is underpowering the sub? I think i read somewhere that the amp is only 175 rms at 2 ohms. BTW, the items in my sig are what im using. If i were to get a KX 400.1 would that take away the flapping sound? I believe the sub is 350 rms or somewhere around there. Sorry i am new to this car audio stuff.

Also, i have a reg. cab s-10 and there is really not allot of space in there. I was just wondering if anyone on this board has a truck like mine and if so what system do you have in there? Pics would be nice also. I kind of wish now i had a car so i could have more space to put maybe 2 12's or something. I just put this system in for a start and i will be gradually upgrading as time progresses.

Thank you.

ok, the box is a premade sealed box that i bought from custom-radio, an audio store about 30 min away.

The amp gains are set on "normal."

I think the actual sub is making the sound. It is when the sub is flexed out. If it is air leakage would it be were the sub makes contact with the box?

Thanks.
