Fixing tinsel lead snap

I was debating putting this in the Speakers forum, but this gets more hits, and is also relevant here.

How did you gents fix your tinsel leads from slapping the cone? I saw the Brahma fix (glue cloth on the cone where the tinsel hits), but what other fixes are out there?

Would hot gluing the tinsel to the spider work? Any notable difference in sound when the cloth is glued to the cone? What about in mid-bass speakers?

Any insight would be super

felt on the bottom side of the cone works well...

i wouldnt glue anything to a moving part of the suspension fo sho
