this is my 9512. very ugly, but can it be fixed? still hits hard and functions normally.

what do you guys think? fix it or leave it?

I'm not sure what the 9500 series cones go for, but contact MTX see how much a recone would be, and go from there.

is it a big deal? i mean is the performance hurt by this at all? doesn't seem to be, but i got it like this so i really have no comparison. seems like my new type x hits lower tho.

also, if i invert it i'd like to have the MTX cap thing that goes on the bottom. it isn't there. anyone have one laying around?

im almost 100% sure its affecting performance... subs are meant to move air, and im sure where the hole is, no air is being moved

yeah, but the "audio" part is raised so that'd be difficult.

ok, contacted MTX and they say to ship it to them at my expense (pretty gd heavy) and they'll recone it and ship it back for $170 (incl. return ship) good deal, or not worth it?
