Fix it or junk it ?

I was just given an Audiobahn AW1200q 12" subwoofer for free. It has a small crack in the surround and I was just wondering if it would be worth trying to fix it, or should I just scrap it? It seems like a decent speaker and I have confirmed that the coils are in good shape by way of multi meter. I have done a few re-cones and know how, but is this speaker worth fixing ?

If youve done recones... you know the value of the time you must put in and you know the value of the speaker so its your decision, but i believe most people on here will say no. As do i.

I didn't read past the 6th word of your reply. Junk it.

I've burped an AW1200 at about 2800w (clamped power from a pair of RF T1000's strapped) and it took it really well. They sound like poo but relatively loud and take abuse pretty well. Not worth reconing but definitely worth a silicone or shoe goo fix up
