And OP.... any amp will work fine with any sub. That AP amp you have will work just fine with your Memphis sub, as long as you set that gain properly.

I've swapped the 1800 d for a 1500d and making my own box the only reason I asked for help was cause I felt the shop was really trying to fk me over I just wanted to be sure it wasn't me destroying the subs obviously it wasn't
