anyone ever mess with jack dempseys or lobsters? ive got a 55gal hex tank 27x22x22 incase that wasnt mentioned.. i want an aggressive fish or a few so i can feed him other fish etc.. whats cool?

I always liked oscars. They are pretty dirty fish, and can get hole in head disease pretty easily. They seem to be really smart fish though.

dempseys are cool i have 1 left of a mated breeding pair

oscars are ok if you like cleaning alot. and they wont ever get latereral line eroision ( hole in the head disease ) if u keep the water clean.

they are both agressive eaters tho.

i have several oscars if you were in colorado u could have all 3 of them they are all 12" or bigger. im done with oscars too dirty and too much work cleaning a 150 tank 2 times a week.

i feed my ball 8-12" rats on occasion and there is never any blood. my 6 foot savannah monitor on the other hand used to make a huge mess of stray cats and dogs tho lolz

Any more info on the Savannah Monitor?

yeah every single link i posted stated the wild size is upto 4.5 feet in length and in captivity upto 6 feet and they measure nose to *** not including tail chewy was 42" or so iirc plus his tal which was nearly 40"
