40 inches tall? i hope its going to be laying on its back. if it is, you should make the port facing the back of ur car with the sub facing up

its a minivan, im taking out the third row seats. so i have planty of room, I wont be entering any comps just a fun daily driver.

just curious. what is the diffrence if I have 180 sq inchs of port compared to say 120sq inches? is there any diffrence. as long as it is tuned the same

U want 12-20 sq inches of port space pr/ cub ft. It's to reduce port noise. cause the port has to have enough space for the air being pushed out of the box.

Also I want a Firts ported box deisgn, it sounds intresting.

well seeing how the box is only 9cft 120sq inches should be okay too. But since u can do 180 than u might as well. Or find a happy medium (say like 160ish?)

With that driver use 180 square inches of port surface area.

Some people don't use T/S specs for enclosure design anymore. Including that box design site...
