First time powder coating

No I shot the red, gelled (partial cure), let cool, masked the majority of the sides down, sprayed the black, wiped off the black where I didn't want it with my finger, removed the masking, cured. It was rather time consuming. Charged powder is difficult to remove since it's attracted to the metal. He was pumped on them though. It was my first time doing something like that so it was practice.

Standard powders will over cure above 300F more or less. Most valve covers don't get that hot though, so a high temp powder isn't needed. I've done quite a few valve covers and they all have been fine. Not good for exhaust/heads/turbos etc.

What the hell... I rarely get pics of the stuff I do.

no it is bright. i hate it, it wont b staying. Good practice but ill b stripping it and buying some good quality powder and redoing it. the color is not a red, way too orangy

im no pro like blazin jason, but each thing i do gets exponentially better. if anyone wants some parts done ill do them for shipping plus materials just pm me. i wanna get some happy customers to put up on a website im working on now.

edit- mine doo look pretty weak compared to blazins, but the powders i used are a matte not a gloss and once i get a couple more people that want something done imma make a bigger order of powders that are of high quality and gloss finish. should look a lot better.

Why dont u just get a small amount of it now to do powdercoating on something for your truck to see how well it will actually come out? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
