first time jiters

so im workin on my first install in my 95 dodge avenger, and i must admit i am a little worried that im going to turn my car on and see smoke. i have cheap infinity ref 6 1/2 in the front and some sheap clarion 6/9 in the back. baught that before my audio brain evolved. i also have a aq hd 315 and a hifonics bxi2006 that i just baught. as for a h/u i have an eclipse 3000. i had the h/u hooked up at the local store thay charged me 50 bucks. but i want to learn how to do this so i decided that im goin to hook up the amp. what are some stuff i should double check before i turn on my car.

rca..

basically everything since ur worried... but if your confident then i believe u'll be ok..

no wires pinched umm rca's and power run ran together. got your remote ran rca's,power, the power fused close to the battery. A good ground for the amp. the ground wire the ame size or bigger than the power

make sure all your connections are secure, power wire at battery, ground, and remote. rca's are tight on HU and amp. proper fuses, and make sure no wires are touching and that your wires arent pinched anywhere. pretty much everything has already been said

and make sure that your sub is wired correctly for your amp, correct impedence.

and not wire backwords make sure pos on pos neg on neg on the speakers umm oh yea make sure to set your gain right and cd player and stuff and dont havre your gain all the way up when you first turn it on.
