Go to court. There should be a court date on your ticket. You dont have to bring your rents. You might be able to get it knocked down to a parking ticket and driving school which is hella better than higher insurance and points. Trust me I have done it.

Hahha hell yeah it does.....I got an attorney for a father but I'm sure he'd be happy just to see me have to deal with it. Plus my mom pays the insurance so he really won't see any need to help me. lol

Nah 5 is the most you can have before something happens. The 6 is what pushes you over and you lose it or HAVE to go to driving school.

ya i got one for 16 over but it was on a 70 limit freeway cop wrote it off as impede speed cuz it was my first time. still had to pay 150 but 0 is betta than 2 pts.

1 violation isnt going to impact your insurance. as long as you dont think ur gonna be a retard and keep getting tickets you should be fine. when i bought my ***** Am at 19 i talked to my insurance agent and when i told him i had 2 speeding tickets he said that was fine, that my insurance would go up if i got another. which i did (not in the TA though) and it did. but then it went back down when one got dropped.

moral of the story, 1 ticket shouldnt change insurance alot, if any.

I started to slow but I can usually recognize the headlights of cops (Idk, I'm just good like that). Well of course this time I couldn't, and it was good old Statey on me. I'm young and drive a "STI looking" WRX. He didn't say too much and just gave me a hard time about where I was coming from and how he had been giving everyone tickets lately. I didn't back talk or anything stupid. I just accepted it. He said you were going 90 in a 55. I said I thought I was going 80 but I didn't make a deal about it. He came back with my ticket and all he said was where I could pay for it. It was $200. I really don't care about the money; it's my fault yes so w/e. My concern is points ( I live in PA). He didn't say one word about me getting points but my friend said he got points and they didn't say anything. Don't they have to state what I receive for speeding? Wow, I should feel worse, but I don't. O well, how's everyone's night? Better than mine?

First time offense, you want to go to court and ask judge to waive adjudication and plead no contest. nearly all of them will on first offenses. You will just pay your fine and/or take a course which you have to pay for.

On the city streets I got a ticket for going 15 over and on the day of court the cop said I can just pay $100 and not get any points. It was either that, or go to court. I ended up paying that $100. BTW im in Michigan, too.
