Ok, I was on my local highway and was going a little fast //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I saw a car start to come up behind me. I started to slow but I can usually recognize the headlights of cops (Idk, I'm just good like that). Well of course this time I couldn't, and it was good old Statey on me. I'm young and drive a "STI looking" WRX. He didn't say too much and just gave me a hard time about where I was coming from and how he had been giving everyone tickets lately. I didn't back talk or anything stupid. I just accepted it. He said you were going 90 in a 55. I said I thought I was going 80 but I didn't make a deal about it. He came back with my ticket and all he said was where I could pay for it. It was $200. I really don't care about the money; it's my fault yes so w/e. My concern is points ( I live in PA). He didn't say one word about me getting points but my friend said he got points and they didn't say anything. Don't they have to state what I receive for speeding? Wow, I should feel worse, but I don't. O well, how's everyone's night? Better than mine?

How long ave you been driving? If you've had your license a year or longer then take it to court. I recently requested a court date on my first ticket and just admitted I was guilty, said I made a mistake, and it was pretty much dismissed.

If you have a clean record, take it to court, plead guilty? and withhold "injudification" or whatever it is called.

I did that for my last ticket, i still got the fine, but no points, no traffic school.

call about taking a driving course to get the points removed. after you receive your certificate take it to the court, pay it and show your cert. you may be eligable to have tjhe points removed a a discount on the ticket cost.

Fight it, go to court pay the fee and take a driver training course and you should probably not get the points unless you have a horrible driving record.
Hah I'm trying to keep this from the rents. I don't have a record at all. This was the first of anything. Good thing he didn't catch any of my other stuff too or I wouldn't be talking right now.

About 9-months on the junior license. I don't mind the money, it's just the points I don't want. He didn't say anything about points. But i was going 35 over and they're supposed to take my license at 26 or over.

I don't even know if I got points (i assume but still) How do I know how many I have? He didn't say anything about points. And what's the best way to keep this under wraps? Insurance better not go up. Then I'm f'd no doubt.

Consequences for Traffic Tickets

Here's just a sampling of the points imposed for various moving violation convictions:

Failure to stop for a red light: 3 points

Illegal U-turn: 3 points

Careless driving: 3 points

Failure to stop at a railroad crossing: 4 points

Exceeding the speed limit by 31 mph: 5 points

Well, guess I'll be seeing 5 points. I wonder how I find out though.

why not call in and ask? its not that f'ing hard. As soon as the ticket registers on your name (which should have been practically instantaneous), you can check your record.

yeah im going to have to. I guess I'm expecting 5pts. Prob not a bad idea to lay low for say, a year. Just sucks because I always make sure to cruise in that car. I guess that's how it goes. W/E

You need to go to court and take the driving school or whatever option they give you to keep from getting points. If not your insurance is going to go through the roof.
Hah ****....that involves telling the rents. I guess keeping insurance low is more important than keeping it from them. I'll have to find out about court then. Anybody know specifically how it goes?
