First new monitor is here.......

can you do me a favor and measure horizontally and vertically? (outer dimensions of monitor itself, no stand) im trying to get an idea of what will fit on desk and what wont (got shelves)

i'll tell you one thing, tho, the 1680 x 1050 resolution makes divx movies look like complete crap

i may have to set one of the monitors to a lower resolution for watching videos, or invest in a better dvd collection, because xvid/divx is not cutting it on this thing

ya, i had to wait to order a stand, myself, because the only dimensions they give are including the stand.

i'll measure it for you tomorrow, i actually didn't bring a tape measure home with me today, because this wasn't even supposed to get here till tomorrow

ah alrite, thanks alot

not so much gaming, more just general multitasking with 2 monitors, while being able to use the 3rd to watch a movie at the same time.
it wasn't really necessary, it was just a 'why the hell not' decision.

i'm using a pci-e ati x1300 pro for my primary monitor, and a pci x1300 for my secondary monitors, they'll all be hooked up with dvi, so it should be nice
Well I guess if your own your computer like 24/7, then good investment, lol!

i mean, i'll be completely honest here, it was less of a practical investment, and more of a 'that'd be amazing' type purchase.

one is almost twice the desktop space i had before (sxga 17") so 3 is going to give me seizures.

downloaded employee of the month yesterday, was better than i thought it would be...

nice monitors, what are the specs, model, $$$ and so on? never heard of spectre, they look nice

reinforcements have arrived

anyone wanna let me borrow $250 for a stand? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Nice monitors.

I got a 19" widescreen for xmas and it took me a little while to get used to the 1440x900 resolution, but man does it kick my old monitors ***. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ya, i didn't know what to expect

i sat on the decision between 19" 5:4's and 20.1" 16:10's, and i'm glad i went with the widescreen.

it's no taller than my old 17" but the extra width is kickass for movies, and really does seem a LOT bigger

it's especially nice for the forums, and checking my mail

minus my obnoxious glowing 'sceptre' logo, our monitors could be twins //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
looking good
Nothing a piece of electrical tape couldn't solve. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

it's the least of my worries, really

my old monitor was a 3 or 4 year old lcd, and even with the brightness turned all the way down on this one, my eyes are having a hell of a time adjusting

i could sit and look at my old monitor with no lights on, and my eyes would be fine

these newer monitors are just too **** bright, i can feel my brain ripping in 1/2

it's really amazing how much brighter the newer monitors are, and how BLACK the blacks are, lcd monitors have really come a long way in the last few years
