fiberglassing isnt as hard as its hyped up to be -kicks are easy. just take your time, follow the sticky how to fiberglass exactally. you cant go wrong. the fiberglass will stick to the masking tape, then you just let it dry for a while until its hard, and it pops out like and icecube outta the tray. after that, its all downhill.
if you are carpeting, you really shouldnt need to sand as much as these guys do... paint on the otherhand, and you will have to sand you knuckles off.
just give it a try, 8sqft of fiberglass is like $4 and 1 gallon of resin is like $25 a few paintbrushes from the $1 store and a set of rubber gloves later, you will realize its quite simple.
just cut the fiberglass to small squares and you are golden.
if you mess up, it will cost you like $8 total materials cost, but you will have some expierence under your belt.
just dont spill any resin on your seats.... you will cry for weeks when you sit on a hard\ugly seat. rofl!

no problem buddy. try 1 at a time, if it turns out good, do the other... if not, try again.
1 gallon of resin should be able to make like 10 kicks (if you dont mix too much and have it harden on ya //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bawling.gif.6287aa5d1d447c8af063fc9466e822ef.gif ive done that too many times lol... and 8sq ft should be able to do ~1.5 kick moulds and 1 yard of fleece should do 2 kicks quite eaisly ($4~10 a sqyd go to your local fabric store and ask for the cheapest fleece they have) and carpet usually is ~$10 and is like 3'x10' or somthing. you will have much left over... and its the last step, and it can be ripped off if you screw it up.
so dont worry about messing up, you gain alot of trial and error by doing it that way, and who knows, you might be a natural =)

Nope, never seen it burst into flames. I mixed it so hot one time by accident that I had about 30 seconds of work time. Melted latex gloves and a plastic bristle brush, but no flames. I had a friend tell me that he did one time. I told him to do it again then so I could see it happen. how much mkep did you put in there =P lol.
i usually use plastic cups (these neon ones you get at birthday parties and crap) and fill it over half way and put like 45 drops in.
take 20~30 minutes for it to start setting
when i was expiermenting tho, i did put like 60 drops in and it hardened in ~10 minutes and got quite warm ... hot enuf i couldnt hold the cup and it melted all over =P //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif dont do that again.

Me too, melted several plastic cups and assorted other plastic implements, but never any flames. I'm gonna have to expirament now. I have a couple gallons of old bondo poly resin and a few tubes of mekp. well sir a 50/50 mix would probably be ideal if you plan on glassing anything at the north pole //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif It's a wee bit too hot for anything around this neck of the woods. I mixed 1/2 ounce of resin and 1/2 ounce of mekp, stirred it, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
