Know how loud your song is and make friends with your mute button. If ya still need a good bassrace song, try Eminem's "spend some time."

you dont want to jump out in the 39's with 25 seconds left.
you want it to climb slow.

you do want to climb slow... but not too slow. What i do in practice is just purposely red light to see what my volume setting will do on a perfect start. to make sure it isn't a break out. I usually shoot for something in the mid to low 139.x 149.x depending on if the 149 class is filling up.

You can use burned CDs.

Just dont get nervous and jumpy towards the end.

Its good to qualify last, then if there are only a few people in your class that you want, you can take it easy. If there are only 2 people qualified in the 139.9 class that got over a 133, then play it cool. Qualifying with a 133.1 and a 139.9 will give you the same result.

Then in eliminations go for the perfect 139.9. But watch your opponents score. with 10 seconds left, if they are under 135, stay at 138 or so just to prevent overshooting.

your going to want to practice when you get the chance, if they offer it at the show. both your start volume and timing is whats going to help you.

hypnotize would be a terrible song for bassrace //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

just as a guess by your tuning you should try bass mechanic or push that n ig g a.
thats prolly best bet

indeed, burned cd's are allowed now in bassrace, as well as ipods and other mp3 playing devices.

qualifying score determines your place in eliminations...if you don't take first or second that is.

If your not really consistent then i wouldn't go for a 139.9 in qualifying.. unless there was already a bunch of people that did 139.9's for their qualifying score.

For example at svr the 3 guys that qualifyied with a 139.8 had to requalify because the other 6 people in the class had 139.9's for their qualifying score.

I would at least shoot for a 139.7 in qualifying.. so you can use it as a practice run no matter what.

You can still practice your starts. Just make sure you can start the song at any instant and that point is where the bass starts.

Hopefully this thread hasn't overwhelmed you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif there are a few contradictory opinions in here.. all from qualified sources.

I must be doing something wrong considering i haven't won a bassrace event this year...although i'm still in second in the splmax cup.

haha alright thanks for the tips everyone, i went and bought lil jon kings of crunk theres good amount of songs on there that slam, i dont give a fck and push that n...a push that hoe are my best

I try to climb up to a 139.8 with 10 seconds left and notch it up a little right towards the end for a 139.9. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The key is to dial in your system so you know what one volume click will do to your score. What you really want is one volume click to only be a slight increase in your score that way you can control your average.

As if you can't tell by all the advice given, bassrace is far from easy but it's very fun and exciting. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wow i learned alot, hopefully i make it out there with you racing
yea hopefully man i already took the day off last week, ive been talking to joseph m who posted it originally hes gonna be out there in his tahoe i just finished my new box well see how it goes

for me i guess i am stil getting late starts because i pop in the mid 30's, but with 10 seconds to go i am at 149.5 and climbing pretty much however i want too.

i still need some practice, and next show i do im gonna qualify with the car off.

just to see what it does.

except one time when i redlighted i came out at a 151.4
a tad early id say.
Doesn't that make for a crap rest of the 30 seconds //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

So when you redlight do you just crank it to see what it'll do and put on a show, or just turn it down to save on the equipment?
