Ok, well all know how useful it is to n00bix's when they come on ca.com and read up about us old timers who bitch about what brands are better than one another and which companies have shitty products. Ca.com is sort of word-of-mouth at times (I mean, your average guy who has a couple of 12's in a prefab probably hasnt heard of us here).....so...well, im guessing there is a fourm similar for people who want to invest their cash into stocks, bonds, IRA's...etc? A place where there is some clairification for n00blets (IE : me) in the financial arena where some schooling can be had with no advertisements and fucktards trying to sell you shit you dont need. My main prompt for this has been that I recently this week was given $5k .... and I could do something dumb like put a down payment on a car, buy more amps,...or god - more subs. I really would like to get some return on my money for a change though....its not like im going to dump all my 5k into something right away, rather id like to read up and make some informed opinions on investing strategies.

Enter the symbol (INTC, TXI etc.) in the upper box and it will give you a chart with links on the left, one of which will be the messageboard for that stock.

You are more likely to find out SPL secrets than find out anything useful from real financial pros.

Unlike car audio, everyone (theorhetically) can hit 170.

Everyone cannot get 20% yoy returns. Even if the did the exact same thing.

4) Could you keep the money invested until you are retirement age and never touch it?

1) I could easily loose half and not bat an eye.

2) I dont need it soon, but would be nice in a couple of years

4) nah, I couldnt do that. being that im a former cancer patient, have had both hips replaced, and my liver almost transplanted....im guessing im not going to make it that long.

oh and to the other person, churchhill downs sucks. It was on the news last night that all bets are on a turndown there..... maybe its the growing meth market here in kentucky that everyones investing in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

great tutorials on http://www.fidelity.com also look into http://www.ingdirect.com at ing you can earn 4.85% on your checking. which is better than a CD and you can pull your money out without penalty.

1) Do you want something you "fool with" everyday/hour/minute or something set it and forget it, just glance at it quarterly.

2) Suppose you didn't make it that long, what are your final wishes with the monies?

3) What are you interested in (besides car audio) do you have any social causes you enjoy, religious causes, interest in certain countries, industries? Not from an investor point of view, but from a person. (Once you adopt an investors point of view, you cannot see the world from a regular person's point of view...only the few greatest investors could marry the two perspectives)
