he's def not the greatest lyricist alive, but he is great. No rapper is "flawless." While we're on that, tupac had MANY flaws, as did Biggie and they are rap demigods. My fav rap artist of all time, Jay-Z, made many whack tracks, but he's still my fav.
So what's left then? personal opinion. IF you like him great like him. If you don't, don't listen to him.

That's the thing even people who claim to not like him still listen to his new music for some reason. I don't understand it at all. They act as if they have to listen to him. And even worse is the fact that it's not enough for them to not like him they have to make it known. Look at any thread on here about him its filled with people saying they don't like him and that he sucks. Why would you read a thread about him then? Just ignore the dude.

im gonna have to agree wit that 100%..i got tired of hearin his cracked out voice a long time ago. hes RARELY on any of my cds/mp3s anymore. even tho you hear him 20hrs out of the day on the radio anyway

Ummmm no. He doesn't throw tantrums when he doesn't win an award. He's confident in his abilities and has been extremely successful. Disagreeing with people that say he's the best is fine but people that disagree straight up hate on him. When you can't give someone props for being successful from working hard you are hating plain and simple. Dude worked his *** off to get where he is and his haters won't even acknowledge that. What other multi-platinum artist stills consistently puts out mixtapes is always on tours and grinds like a new artist? He's not afraid to be different and do what he wants musically and he experiments a lot. I refuse to hate on someone who works so hard and has become successful as a result of it.

lil wayne is cool. he made some songs that caught my ears and some songs that I didnt even put on my ipod. but we all have to understand,. Lil wayne could care less of all this. He is making his money and thats what is all about. Its a job. Just like everyother job. when your with your buddies you act different then when you step into the corparate office with a suit and tie. Just like a rapper might do. he might act normal in the streets, but in the studio he is the biggest drug dealer, killer, attractive, richest person alive. Its all entertainment. He entertains.

Just don't like his flow and he looks like a 2 year old colored all over him.

Not getting into what he has done, because he has done a lot and has a huge fan base, and made plenty of money.

The author is right, too bad the article sucked. Sounds like the publisher got to him before he could write that article.

I don't care how much Lil Wayne sucks or not, what is disturbing is that he is considered to be the forefront of the genre. Yeah he sucks, but he sets the standard for hip hop in the mainstream. That is the problem. If you put Hammer and Mase together you get Lil Wayne. He does a good job of repackaging subject matter that has been done for the last 20 years.

He's a decent rapper that works hard. Why should that make him the greatest rapper alive? I never said I hated him, or hated on him. You got shit twisted.
