Loud is not pretty, but my seat went over that, and comletely covered it all up. Port through the arm rest //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif But if you take that metal piece out, it'll allow for a bit more airflow as well. Definately will let the car get a bit louder, as well as reduce some vibration.

Anyways, that's all out of the maxima now anyways.
holy shit man

holy shit man
It got pretty loud (especially if I pulled out the back rest). It was braced a bunch (that pic didn't have the bracing in it yet). That was a fun build.

Just ripped it all out last weekend. Expanding foam and silicone freakin stuck to everything haha.

I had to get my trunk back though. I was going nuts putting groceries in the back seat and no spare tire.....

This is the box I want to build... but when I put the specs into the BCAE1 site... it tells me to build a 1.3" port... what am I doing wrong here with this program?????????

Height? =15 Inches

Width? = 39.5 Inches

Depth1? =26.5 Inches

Depth2? = 26.5 Inches

If the above dimensions are OUTSIDE dimensions, enter the thickness of the wood below.

Wood Thickness? =.75 Inches

Speaker Displacement? = .246 Ft³ (for 2 subs)

Port Frequency? =38 Hertz

Port Diameter? = 5 Inches

Number of Ports? =1

Sq. Port Ratio H:W? = 1: .5

Data Output:

Box Front Angle = 90 Degrees

Gross box volume =7.1 Ft3

Net box volume = 7.1 Ft3

Port Length = 1.3 Inches

Port Area = 19 Inches2

Port Volume = .016 Ft3

none of these results make sence... If I put in the displacement for just 1 subs... the numbers barely change??

snb thats normal

bigger the box the less port is required.

port area is the square inches of the surfaceof the port and yours is19

thats way too small

gotta find how to make it accept a slot port, its thinking that you are going with an aero

your port area = 13.5*5.5, not 13.5+5.5

try that instead....may just fix it for ya

why is it showing port length 1.3" though?? The box mobeius designed for me has it like 13.25" I just wanted to use that program to see how close the specs were...

its saying that because you didnt enter the correct port area.

port area is74.25

enterthat andsee the length it gives....id guess it to be accurate to within an inch or so

everything bolded there it calculated itself.... everything above that I entered in, then just clicked calculate
