btw, is there anywhere that u can get those cameras for less than $1,200. i know there's ebay, but can u realy trust it when spending that amount of money on electronics

idk. I'm getting this camera from http://www.bhphotovideo.com as that's where I've purchased some camera equiptment in the past. If you search altavista or whatever search engine you use i'm sure the first few sponsored matches will be places selling it. But when it comes to something this expensive i'm not going to take the chance of ebay...

not really, my sister is a photo journalist, shes got photos that are all abstract n whatnot...mine photos are all of cars and other forms of transportation, for insurance puposes...i can post some of those i you want haha

I'm selling my current digital camera and taking a step up into the Digital SLR realm.
this is the camera I'll be purchasing...

I can't wait to step up a level, and finally be able to take amazing photographs with my camera, instead of having to take decent pictures and make them nice in Adobe CS.

this is quite the step-up from my Kodak Z740. from a $300 camera to a $1200 camera(with lenses)

I have use that cam when i am working the photography sessions at wedings. it has a 9 different focus points you can play with, and you store light settings on it! hope you enjoy it. but my boss bought a 5k lens to go with it so....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

that's yet another reason I want an SLR, I can easily upgrade lenses need be. I don't have that luxury with a point and shoot..

dont forget to get another CF card to go with it, we carry about 10gbs worth of flash at weddings, when snappin in raw format:naughty:

IMHO, the nikon d70 isn't really worth it.

your best bet is getting a D50, and getting lenses/accessories with the 600.00 you will have left over.

D50 is only good for outdoor(1/4000 & the d70 1/8000 shutter speed),since you dont need as much fun stuffs in the d50.

the d70 is overall better, scroll down to the bottom and see what d70 has to offer and the d50 doesnt. so i say stick with the d70 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
