Finally got it!

As long as it maintains its width away from the walls I'd say it'd be fine. Did you take into consideration the board thickness for the second piece? I.E. if its .75" board then your seond piece would only need to be 2.25" and the board thickness would make up the rest of the 3". I dont know if thats entirly true though...someone correct me if i'm wrong.

That doesn't make much sense my brother. What are the internal measurements of your enclosure ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ok i finally figured out my port shit so heres the last question
i'm trying to add a 14 h x 1.5 w x 18.5 L port , so i know i will have to angle the port, so my boards should be 14 h x 15.5 and 14h x 3.0 right?
how deep is your box? if your box is say, 16" deep then your port will have 2 cuts:1) will be14.5" and the other will be 4" long you`ll have a L-shahped port, and yes the boards will be 14" high

He's right if your putting the port at the end of the enclosure and using one of the side walls. Just got to remember to keep the 1.5" wide consistent. Which by the way sounds awfully narrow. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm not saying it's wrong or anything, Just that a 1.5" wide port sounds constricting too me. I'm no expert though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Okay if that's internal then your correct. Just remember to make sure it's 1.5" wide at the back of the enclosure as well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i think he's right about that so everyone agrees i should make my 2nd piece 2.25?

Well then in order to keep the tuning correct. Your boards should be 16.67" and 1.08" long both 14" high. if your using 3/4" mdf //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
