Finally bought a nice sub, excited but still need an amp!

So I finally bought my first nice sub. My first was a walmart pioneer 12 TSW 303R in a sealed prefab. I started piecing together a new system and had my heart set on an AQ SDC for awhile but with the sale on the SA sundown line, I had to take advantage at that price. I got a D4 SA-12.

But now I need to power it. I doubt my stock electrical can take much but in general I want to keep everything under 1000 rms. I'm looking for a mono, D class amp that will make anywhere between 500-800rms at 2 ohms. I can spend up to 200-250 MAX. The cheaper the better, right now it seems the MB quart onx1000.1 is the best option for price, but can you suggest anything better or as good?

Just one thing to keep in mind. I DO NOT want to buy used off here. I'll only buy used local or new stuff. I just dont feel comfortable buying used stuff I can't see/test first.

Thanks!

I worry about the quality of cadence though, like for the price. How good are they? I've just never seen anyone use them
Just like any company they make great stuff and junk. The items listed here are great, especially the Z5000. I used to run a Z1200 which was rated for 1200@1 and bench tested at 1400+@1. Very efficient amps and sound great. Nak and Eclipse are also two great companies. Cant go wrong with anything listed here yet.

DO NOT GET THE TXA...they made it for a short while and stopped because they messed up on the heat sink...they made the metal fins to short and ultimately have heating dispersion issues... not a good idea.

if i had to choose..

get the nakamichi. you will be extremely pleased.

if not that much, the eclipse...

Well the 5000 is an A/B, the elipse I feel wont be enough power and the PA-1500 is at the top of my price range. I'll check into them though.

Give me all options you have bc other than major names, I got nothin. the AQ750 seems nice, cant rly afford the 1200 though.

The only made the short fin heatsinks for a short while and most got recalled. Even then if they were mounted in a well ventilated area they were still fine. You can tell those from the newer ones because the fins only go to the mounting feet. In the ones I posted the fins are alot longer.

That Eclipse amp is highly under rated. Probably does another 150wrms more per ohm load.

yje cadence amps i listed are all amazing amps, the aq750 is not going to work because it puts out not enough power at 2 ohms, its power is at 1 ohm. new cadence and aq are identical amps. they are korean made amps. class a/b amps are better sounding amps, just the amp will be much bigger. 19 inches for the z5000, i had a z7000 1500rms at 1ohm, thing is prob my fav amp of all time 1500rms and under. id go with the z5000 u wont be disappointed, its also rated at 12,5v's iirc

cadence and aq amp, their identical

Thats awesome^^ but I dont want to go over 800rms at 2 ohms. The alternator is like 70amps and I'm not gonna be adding extra batteries or a HO alt so I need to be okay on the stock electrical and the big 3. I'm running a 2 channel that makes like 140rms total so I feel I can run up to like 750 RMS for a mono with out my car having insane voltage drop.

And I want a D class on account of efficiency since I hear A/B's tend to draw more current and with me pushing the limits of my stock alt already, I dont wanna add to the odds against me already.

so far that TXA is the most appealing.

You can dial back your gain settings to get to that 800@2. That way you have head room later on down the road when you decide to upgrade. Its a pretty simple process.
