Filipino, asian or pacific-islander?

theyre not american thats all that matters. god bless america.
and what have you done for america that makes you more american then me?

Iam filipino and yes back in the day were thrown in the asian group but we have too much island influence to be asian but too much asian influence to be islander plus we were ***** by the spanish long ago so were are pretty much the beaners of asia.

Fvck it right

haha at all the retards who make a huge deal about what their ethnic background is. you want my opinion? its retards like you that cause issues between races. so go **** yourself

not necessarily. its not even directed at anyone. i just happened to say it.

i think a big part of the problem with prejudice and racism stems from having too much pride in your ethnicity, and being so **** proud and making sure everyone knows it. like "oh im african american, black pride. oh im mexican, brown pride, im white yeeaa haa white pride"....does it really matter?

in case you havnt noticed i post up random shit like that in thread all the time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

arent the pacific islands still a part of asia? if not what continent are the pacific islands a part of. so theoretically, aren't they pacific islanders as well as asian?

I'm filipino and I frankly don't care about this. People get it wrong all the time. Idiots who think i'm Chinese. I've been known as Chinese since kindergarten and I've heard it all lol so there's not much that bothers me now.

But anyway, when I was growing up, they had us fill out those bubble things for state tests for school and whatnot. And the bubble that I always filled in went like this: Asian/Pacific Islander. It's one in the same in many ways, but also different at times.

I was born and raised here. That's right- I am legal and I am a natural US citizen. Though I am one quarter chinese (barely noticable), I do consider Filipinos asian because of "continental zoning" and the things we share in common with the other asian countries. Most Filipinos have Chinese blood, I know my family does.

Doesn't matter to me. You are ignorant if you don't know the difference and if you actually make a big deal about it.
