Filing Claims with FedEx

this is some bullll shiiit!!!!

5/28/08 i shipped a 18'' BTL to RAB a member here on the forums.

about a week later he call's me to tell me FedEx lost the sub:crap:

so 6/2/08 i fax a claim with a recipt from Fi on the model of the sub to FedEx, & call to see if they recived it. they say give us a week to rivew the claim. they said they would call me and let me know.... yea, right!

so it's 6/12/08, i call to see what the status is.. they send me to a claims agent fianlly. talked to her and she said she is going to send the claim off to the lost and found, if they find it they will ship it off to Rab.. once agian, they said they will call me and let me know, witch i doubt...

what if they dont find it.. i wrote down a price on how mutch the content's are worth. if the sub is not found will the re-inburse me the amount that the sub is worth..

anyone have to do this?? this is takeing way tooo long!!!

I'm assuming it was insured. If so it will likly take quite a while for them to get you your money, They will also likly want you to proove how much it cost.

Fed Ex lost a IA 20.1 I bought off of here and they are taking forever to process it too.

She says that if you declared value when you processed the label, and FedEx approves the claim, you will get the declared value.

If you didn't declare a value you will be limited to Home Delivery's standard liability(she can't remember off the top of her head, she doesn't have anything to do with claims)

Time frame? Could be weeks for them to look and process the claim.

yes i wrote down a declaird value.. allso sent in a recipt from Fi on the value of the sub..

always always always write down the declared value. (which is good you did!)

Also, hopefully you kept your receipt.. If i didnt have it for my claim.. i could'nt imagine how long that would take.

this is bullshit.. my dad is head manager of the east coast branch. but about 2 years ago he got in a bad accident and has not been able to work for over 2 years. so he cant do anything for me either.

We have had more problems shipping our computers and laptops with ups than fed ex. UPS has damaged several and it has taken 3-4months to get our claims resolved after they requested more and more information.

sucks man, i havent had any problems with fedex to date and i use them all the time now.

DHL lost a sub box i sold and took me 3 months to get my money, they had to wait to see if they could find it, then they had to reveiw the claim, then finally they cut me a check. Fockers.
