Filing an insurance claim with USPS...

Ok, so i recently mailed a Memphis Mojo motor through USPS, I packaged it pretty **** well yet they managed to mess it up, i'm waiting on pics. I had it insured for $275, luckily. What do i need to go to the office and file a claim? do i have to have the original item with me or are pictures and the insured reciept enough? I've never had any problems with them before so i don't know how to go through with it...

When you say you packed it well...What did you pack it with? Just go to the post office with your info. They will inform you on what steps you need to take to proceed with your insurance claim.

HE takes the sub to the post office with full packing material. If they approve of the packing and damage, he fills out a form that gets sent to Lousiana (I think). Then he waits 3-4 months for a reimbursement check.

wrapped it in plastic, etc etc....and i put as much foam as i could physically shove in it...and i used one of those leftover "instapaks" that some companies use...the box it was in didn't let it move side to side, so it was just a matter of up and down....i guess the foam got loose and started letting it slide...

so does he need the reciept?

No crate?

Sounds like USPS might not give you your money. Unless you have that cool ass blue foam like Fi, Stereo Integrity, etc. Use you really need to build a crate for the woofer. Especially one as large as a Mojo.

it wasn't the full woofer...it was just the motor...cartridge assembly was shipped seperately....

yea and I would like mine back as well so I can just get one from the dealer and be done with it
