I have used both... at the same time...in the same car...in the same ported box...BL on the right and the AQ on the left.

teh left side of my car wuz wayyy louder. at least 15+ db louder than the right side.

In my experience the AQ is the best bang for the buck, hands down.

That is why I look forward to trying 2 of the new HDC3 18's on an AQ 2200 a piece, should be pretty loud for a daily driver.

lol, thanks for the replies guys, I wouldn't mind stickin with AQ I was kinda for now wanting to go for more of a sq sound while I'm not getting loud until my new vehicle. Who knows I may buy both and give them a shot and see how they sound.

Bridge the front and rear channels together for more power.

I own both of these subs. Bl can get a bit lower in my opinion, but doesn't sound a ton better then the AQ. Also i wouldn't tune the box quite as high as everyone else says for the AQ.

They are both very good subs. As for which I would chose? The HDC3 is still in my car the BL is on the shelf

hey i got 2 hdc315 in a 10.5 ported box they hit super hard i have them on AQ 2200d amp running on a 1ohm daily and 1/4 ohm load for competitions be sure to give them the recommend break in time i riped a spider the 2 day i had mine in but they are great subs and amp re cones are cheap to $100 for re cone and glue

hahaha. if you guys supply me both subs, I'll build a box and use a crap sony xplod headunit to power them and I'll make a vid.
