Fiberglassed corners question...

I just finished my box. I coated the inside entirely with resin, and used fiberglass on all the corners. It was my first time working with fiberglass, and used fiberglass mat, of which I kinda made a bit of a mess inside the box. Things aren't exacly smooth anymore. Should the fiberglassed areas be sanded down so the inside of the enclosure is smooth, or is it fine to be a bit rough?

a bit off topic, but here goes....

It is an R1, with a bit of work done. The picture is the bike in street form. For drag racing, it is lowered an addional 1.5" up front, and 2" in the rear.

I have run a best of 6.13 in the 1/8th, at 126.1 mph. We only run 1/8th of a mile up here.
