fiberglass console

Hey everybody,

I'm building a fiberglass console for my truck. It will host two 10 inch subs.

Problem:

I only need part of the airspace for the subs. How do I have the console as one flowing piece, but have one part as a sealed chamber, and the other part as the rest (front) of the console?

I know it's kinda hard to understand what I'm sayin, but you can kinda put it together...

put an mdf divider in.

yes, Just make some sort of divider. You could also just make a fiberglass one also.

yea, but i have found when working with fiberglass, it is best to use wood in some parts when possible. large planes of fiberglass (parts without curves or angles) are the most vulnerable to flexibilty and weakness.

make as much out of MDF as you can. round all the edges off. pretend you are doing paper mache... how would you make it flowing?

use your imagination and be creative.
