ok more info. it is gonna be single sub setup d2 wired to one ohm on the amp. 95% xure it is gonna be ported box around 3-5 cubes suggestions on that too guys,depends on which one i get!! also im geared more towards spl but i don't want it to sound like arse either. either of the sub will be getting 1,000-1,100 rms too it.

L7 should be louder, how they sound depends on what you listen to, and what type of box. I wouldnt really compare the L7 to the SSD, isnt the SSD the bottom of the line FI? I would compare the L7 to the BL or something like that. I havent used either (although i have used BTL's and now Solo X's if that matters) but in the end i would probably pick the L7.

-Stuff you need to think about and let us know:

-Space available/size of box

-type of enclosure you want - ported, sealed, bandpass, transmission line, etc. (although if your asking this question its probably either ported or sealed)

-Do you want SPL, SQ, something in between

-power available

Think about this stuff and let us know. One isn't absolutely better then the other. It depends on the application.
