Fi Q?!?!!

all i see in all the recent threads is FI Q...i think its the new forum boner
when you stay here for a while, you will get used to the new "forum" god products. They come and go all the time.

I'm not saying FI is bad product in anyway, just that like many other products their popularity around here will come in waves.

Well it is one of the easiest names to remember in the industry: F I Q

Seriously though, it's a good woofer for a great price. It's a safe woofer for anyone who wants anything other than the extreme of SQ or SPL. The whole line of FI subwoofers expands to just about any demand for a given customer besides total SQ. They also don't have to compromise their engineering and design efforts and ideas by shifting some of their focus to amps, speakers, etc. They build subs, and that's it (from what I undestand).

I don't know how much the SSD's cost, but iirc they are cheaper than a comparable Sundown SA. They can also handle more power (my friend is throwing 1250 to each SSD 18 and they want more, whereas from what I understand SA's can only handle about 1k rms), and I'll be damned if the SA's sound any better because it's pretty hard to fault the SQ from my buddy's SSD's (not impossible, but difficult). It's reasons like this that I wonder why people go the SA route. I am probably missing something though.

Fi is working on the neo magnets for the SSD line. and the previous SSD's were between 170-230 bucks

Yeah, those should be pretty sweet.

And I guess I was a little off on the pricing, they appear to cost the exact same as SA's. Besides the lack of an 8" SSD, I still see no reason to go SA instead of SSD

Whoa, you just made a reference to audio equipment, unrelated to politics! Say it isn't so! Did Louisiana CRX finish a build log? Did Sultan Malik get a job at FI? Did Joe begin to like teh womenz?
bro he likes chicks. he just favors the ones with penises.
