fi q or ssd?

The only thing that would make me choose between the Q and the SSD is the power handling...actually, if I was building something for SQ I'd probably end up with SSD's and copper coils because there simply isn't the need for the kind of power the Q can handle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

interesting...
well im reading over at SSA that the Q is better for SQ. if i bought 2 d1 Q's would there be any point in getting any extra options?
This thread cracks me up. 4,000+ posts and you're reading now that the Q has good SQ. Just goes to show post count on this forum is mainly from the Lounge and has little to do with car audio knowledge in some to many cases.

As far as your situation, if you think the SSDs are expensive, leave the Qs alone. If you're moving up from Kicker, the SSDs should sound fine, and I believe JimJ said at one point that the SSDs sealed with the copper coil option will have quite good SQ. And the price isn't that bad new.

Don't get offended that I find your usage of this board amusing. And I did see you've been here for 4 years. If you enjoy posting in that matter take comfort in being happy with yourself. Why does it matter to you what I think?

Also, the SSDs are rated for 800 rms and will take a little bit more, so I would say 1800 would be safe for a pair with only the copper coil option.

Under 400, sure, but since you don't need anywhere near 1.8kW to have SQ I'd have to ignore that...

JL W6v2's stack up very well to these, IMO //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
