FI q or IDq v3

Well Ive once again come to a hard decision.....I can either do a fi q with 1000 watts or a idq v3 with 500. My goal is sq but if the FI q sounds as good as the new idq then I would rather have a subwoofer that handles 500 more watts. Any one heard both of them?

I would personally go with the new IDQ... especially since it's sealed

I don't really like the sound of the Fi Q's... but that's just me.

I have not heard the v3 so my comments may not be very helpful. I had the 10" v2 and I never was satisfied with the output. I ran it sealed and it was in a 4 runner so I was probably expecting too much from a SQ 10".

My cousin has the 15" idq and it has enough output for me but then again much more surface area

I would love to hear a 15. When I say the 10" did not have enough output, I mean it was quite as a church mouse. In fact, I have not even put it up for sale simply b/c I am not confident the buyer would be satisfied.

hmmm, IIRC it would have been somewhere in the vicinity of 300. I know they did not call for 500.

For the most part I had it running off of the rear 2 channels of my JBL 300.4. However, I did test it out with a mono before I switched subs.

the Q will surely give you more output.

We threw both in my bro's car and he said he likes the sound of the IDQ better tonality wise. Also the new v.3 has more output capabilities over the v.2 and it gets much lower.

also, they're rated at 350wrms. but dont' be fooled, they're very efficient

The IDQ v3, was in a ported box seeing about 400w. 1.25cuft @ 32hz

The Fi Q was in a ~.55cuft sealed box seeing 800w

I'd imaging the v.3 should sound even better in a sealed.
