Fi Q, BL, BTL

I want to replace my subs, and it looks like Fi is the best for the money. How do they preform. I want some decent sound quality, comparable to what I am running now, but I want it much louder. I know the Q is the SQ series, but what makes it hit differently from like the BTL if they are both 18"? What about BL, is it like a compromise? Are there any other brands I should be looking at? Re, DD, never heard of AQ before this site. As much detail as possible, and what amp should I be looking at?

Their is no "best for your money" when it comes to subs or anything else. Everyone has their picks.

I'd do the HDC over the Q. You can get very good SQ out of an HDC if you tune it properly, put it in the right box, and have a solid front stage....

I own a Q and HDC's and the Q does not sound better and the HDC's are much louder.

It is all install dependent. Each sub has different goals. What are your goals? Loud? Sound good? What's your power? How much space? These are all questions that need to be answered before we can recommend you subs.

What?

Do you understand that not everyone likes ear bursting bass? Some people like to actually like to hear the music and words in their music. I somehow find it hard to believe that your setup has "good SQ" with 2200 watts to an 18" and stock speakers. Do you understand that people do have different preferences?

If you want to blow your ears out or compete, get the BTL or the HDC.

If you want to blow your ears out while sounding great and dropping lower, get the Q in a low tuned ported enclosure.
