Fi BTL (couple month review)

hmmmthats alittle under 2k per sub....ever thought about doing 8 q18's:up2somet:

80

actually its a little above 2000 each (see my post with the T15k Birf-sheet) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i heard my BTLs with 2000 each when i had only 2 RF T4,000.1 and it was INSANE. Im SURE 2,000 will be plenty. Especially considering its a 2,000 RMS sub. They can take more but its not the end of the world if you dont give them twice the RMS.

Which do you think would make a better bass racer, the BTL or the MT. I have heard that the BTL has a tight gap, which can cause problems but I don't know what that means in the grand scheme of things.

Thanks for the review. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Couple ?'s.

Do they really sound good? Or is it like MT's, everyone who owns one says they 'still sound good' when they really don't. What's your tuning freq?

Seems a trend lately for people to buy raw SPL subs, build SPL oriented installs (high tuning freq) and then talk about their good sq on the boards. There's no way an MT in a box tuned to 50hz+ is gonna sound good with music (except rap I suppose). That's not a recipe for quality sound, its a recipe for alot of sound. This isn't knocking those installs, I respect the lane warriors we have here. But lets be realisitic wqith the SQ side of things around here, any sub in a high tuned box wont do well with music.

Not saying you are doing this meade, or even that its a horrible thing if you are, just wanting some perspective here.

its all good:cool:

....im tuned to 30hz not 50. My truck is by no means a SQ car at 20,000 + watts.......it is a groundpounder that happens to sound **** good even at low, normal driving levels.

Meade, thanks for the update. I love to hear success stories from people that know what they are doing. Great job, as usual. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
