Fi BL vs. IDMAX for loud SQ

I've already heard and used to own the MAX's and loved them. I've heard the BL's and can safely say that SQ-wise, I'd have to pick the IDMAX over the BL any day.

IDMax IMO is one of the best subs when it comes to a good blend of SPL and SQ. It won't be as good in SQ as some SQ drivers (Morel, JL, Hertz, etc) and it may not be as loud as some dedicated SPL drivers (DD, Mag, etc) but it's a great blend of the two.

I have a 13W6 that's pretty loud for my tastes. If I wanted to get louder without sacrificing much of my SQ, I'd go with an IDMax. I really like that sub, and much of ID's products for that matter

um the IDMAX is no where near a SPL woofer and should not be used for getting "SQL"

Hey, I'm just going by my expirience with it, what I've seen in competition, and based of ID's website which says it's designed for SPL with good SQ:

The IDMAX subwoofers combine revolutionary design philosophy with applied engineering science achieving performance that must be experienced. They are a radical departure from conventional design that signifies a major advancement in driver technology and performance. The result is the first truly musical, long excursion, ultra-high SPL subwoofer

It really is all based upon the install what kind of SQ you will get. Put an SQ based driver in a shitty box and SQ goes out the window. Put an SPL (or "SQL") driver in the right box, you can get decent SQ.

Keeping that in mind, choose a sub accordingly.
