fi bl or hdc3?

which is the better sub for spl? i was going to get a pair of 12" subs i stuck between the fi bl and the aq hdc3. or should i get a single 18" btl. its going into a 1996 olds cutlass supream.

In the trunk, go with 2 12's

The box for the 18 may require so much space you choke it off, unless you are willing to do mass surgery on your ride.

BTL all the way, from an inexperienced view, specs are better IMO.

I've never heard the audioques but I love my Bl. It sounds good on music in my setup and gets very loud for being just (1) 10''. What's your budget? If you have the electrical to support it, a pair of 12'' Sundown Nightshades off a SAZ3000d would be sweet too.

I'd do 2 12's in a trunk car. How much power do you have? And how much $$$? I've built boxes for both and either can get loud, but I prefer the HDC's as they're hard to beat for the price...

Especially 2 HDC's. They will want at least 3000 watts. That needs some good electrical. All are good options though. I'd go with an 18 over 2 12's. HDC, BL, BTL, Nightshade...all are great subs.

If you have 1500 watts Nightshade>BL

If you have 2000+ watts BTL>HDC

If you have no money and 1500 watts. Then I don't care.

If you have no money and 2000 watts then HDC>BTL.

That is all known^, and based on just a single sub setup.

I'd vote btl, but that's only because I havent worked with the nightshade yet. If you have less than 2k rms, I say nightshade... More than 2k, BTL

get the HDC3's
