It doesn't, but what really gets to me is, that white people complain about us, even though we harvest their fruits and vegetables, why do they do that? Do they actually think that their own people do the harvesting?
Prob not but thats not to say that those jobs wouldnt get filled if the illegals were not there doing it. Rationalizing it by saying we are here illegally but we to all your crap work isnt right.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

There'd be no reason to annex Mexico, we already have free trade with them...

Also, you can say more people=more taxes, also means higher prices for goods...do you want to pay $10 for an apple?

When people become legal they are going to want at least minimum wages, on the books, for benefits and such.

Right now, most farms are being ran by illegals, who are getting paid off the books, at under minimum wage, with no benefits. That means less overhead, which means lower costs. Change that to legit wages, and prices will go up.

We live in a country ran by prejudice corporate minded idiots. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Ponder this... Mexicans bring in mass quanities of marijuana and other drugs from Mexico. A large shipment of whatever drug it may be gets seized by government officers. The corrupt bastards then flood the streets with the seized drugs, deport the suppliers and go about their business. It is a never ending supply of money for corrupt officials, officers, agents etc...

BTW, in no way do I mean that this has anything to do with the situation at hand at the moment...but I was just thinking about it.

They have tunnels big enough to stash 30 TONS of marijuana ....surely they can dig thousands big enough for a couple Mexicans to crawl through.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

If everyone played on the same playing field, yes you may pay $10 for an apple but your wage would/should be higher as well. Few would pay $10 for an apple under current circumstances, which leaves two possibilities; either a) few producers of apples or b)development to lower the price of the apple.

I am against the exploitation of others to make my life "comfy".

Not necessarily- paying minimum wage would only effect those markets that aren't doing so...big one being the produce market- considering most farms employ illegals to produce goods- if they have to start paying minimum wage, you'll see a price hike for those goods...but it's not going to carry over into other industries...at least I don't see how it possibly could...

Also...$10 was an exaggeration...but prices would increase...how much I couldn't tell you...

If you feel we are 'exploiting' illegals, then I don't understand where you're coming from on that- they are here by choice, they are here illegally because that's how they chose to come here...they took a job off the books making less then any other US citizen in the workforce, by choice....

My Mexicans stealing white peoples jobs is teh funny IMO, we're just doing jobs that other don't want to
FUCK YOU AND "YOUR PEOPLE" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imo.gif.3a57bcc70a4835dc53e86ffae1a0b041.gif ofcourse

yeah some bastards up here STOLE my job.

btw "your people" are teh wetties jumping, running, swimming over here. Not legally, living, working, PAYING TAXES

I have no problem with your people coming here just do it legally Granted you live in poor conditions but does that give you the right to break the law? Thats like sayin a bum robbing a supermarket is ok.........
x2 thats what really pisses me off

Apple price in theory would stabalize at practically the same price because of basic supply and demand curves.

You charge more and people buy less, until you drop the price and supply less.

If an illegal 'stole' your job then I think it's time to sit in retrospect and decide whether or not that job was something you actually wanted to do...
actually it very much was a job i loved doing. Now since I didn't break into the country from mexico or russia i can't get into the game again.

ROOFING FTMFW if you aren't american

Prices would, wages wouldn't. Just like when the cause for raising the minimum wage is raised. It actually hurts middle-income the most because they shop at fast food and resturants whose employment base is minimum-wage based folks. As the price of produce goes up, so does the price of eating out, etc. I am unsure how it would spill over into, say heavy industry however.

Also...$10 was an exaggeration...but prices would increase...how much I couldn't tell you...
It depends. I don't have much insight into the overhead in produce. If the owners are just pocketing the extra funds ( minimum wage - what they actually pay) then the wages may not increase that much. If the market has much less margin, then prices would increase inversley to that margin. (lower margin would have a higher increase)

I am saying they should not be allowed to do so. It is immoral to exploit, even if the exploited choose to be exploited. It's kind of like a girl who would love to have *** with you, and you tell her to steal something for you and you would. If she does steal and you do have *** with her, that is wrong. Even though she was willingly exploited, it is still wrong.

I'm talking about the entire produce spectrum, not just one crop.

And that's just one place you'll see it in...I'd wager to say that almost every area of food is partly supported by illegal workers...
