Hey guys, I just scooped up a Pioneer Premier F90BT Headunit from a local audio shop that had it as a spare and it is on the way to me via UPS as we speak. It should arrive on tuesday but I'm looking for some input on the headunit from either current or prior owners.

Thanks

Great unit once you get beyond its little issues.

first off, if it doesnt have it yet, get the software 2.0 update from the pioneer website. It'll make it run a lot smoother and faster

secondly, if you get speaker whine, ground your RCA's. It is due to blowing the pico fuse in the unit, which is common on pioneer decks.

thirdly, I bent the pins on my ipod adaptor. If this happens to you, apple makes a replacement and has it on their website //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

thats about everything i could find bad on the unit over the last year. I just picked up another for my girlfriends car. Awesome unit, it has it all.

Yeah, do you know if the pico fuse is user replaceable? I had this happen to one of my older pioneer headunits and it really sucked.

i never had that problem..only thing u might hate is waiting 45sec to a min for it to boot up,,and yes thats with the 2.0
overall great unit
Nah, I won't mind it because it does start playing the last music you were listening to about 15 sec in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would love to find out how to do that. I'm currently using the unit with my ipod and I have to wait the full time, I have it upgraded all the way to 3.01 and it still does this. And yes with 2.0 I also had to wait the full time.
