sorry about this thread, but my friend is getting into car audio and he wants me to install for him. he really doesnt know much about car audio but the only thing he knows is that he wants to sorta loud but have good SQ. so i recommended a pair dcons or sa 8s for him just becuase of his budget. so he either wants 2 dcon 10s or 2 sa 8's. He wants more of an opionion on the two so i told him to join the forum but he doesnt want to(*** i know). so basically he wants to know which will get louder on their rated power both in their own enclosures? for those who dont know their RMS, its 400 each for the sa's and 300 each for the dcons.

discuss for my noob friend. gracias

AQ SDC2.0's take 500 a piece, but they could probably handle 100-200 more than that.

IA 187's take 300 a piece, and I was watching a you tube video of one of those taking WAY over rated, like over 1000 watts over rated.

Fi X's take 250 a piece, and nobody doesn't like Fi!

DC Level 2's take 300,

DD 500's take 300, but it's DD so it will probably still kick some ass

TC Epic's take 500, but they're a little pricey.

if i had to pick between the two that you listed though, the DCONs, simply because of cone size and power handling.

Dcons have less power handling than the sa's. Basically he wants to know if the 8s will be louder with just that extra 200 rms
