feeding 12" l7 350watts temp. is ok right?

i need to save up for a new amp right now im using a el1500 at 4ohms giving my l7 350 watts@ 4 ohms. will this damage the sub? When i get my 800 watt amp will it sound much better?

Yes it will sound much better but why would it damage your sub only giving it 350wrms?

underpowerin a sub is only as bad as turnin down the volume...

esentially when you turn down the volume your puttin less power to the sub meanin if this was the case you would screw up your subs everytime you decided to listen to your system at a low volume...

well it WILL be louder with 800 watts tho. i mean you can run it off the 350 but IMO you are really missing out on some of that bump that the l7's can produce

exactly i get tired of them. if underpowering can mess up a sub and over powering a sub can mess it up as well...how the hell are you gonna find a amp to power your sub...i dont know any amp that says it puts out 1000 watts actually putting out 1000 watts with EVERY amp that comes off the production line, each amp is gonna be alittle different and will either under or over power a sub. im sure car audio wouldnt be around if that was the case...

See, amps dont put out their rated power all the time, when you turn down the volume, there is less wattage going to your subs, thats what makes them quieter

if you understand what im saying.
