Honestly you shouldn't have bothered with the claim for that small of an issue. Because now UPS will have it for quite a while. If they manage to not "lose" it you'll still be waiting a while for your money.

That small puncture doesn't effect the functionality, so I'd just fix it myself cause I wouldn't feel like waiting for UPS. It's not fun trying to get your money from UPS.

yah but I rather have a sub come in mint then with the hole. I know it doesn't effect performance. But if somebody broke something when it was in good condition and come in damaged how would you feel then????

I already told you what I'd do, I'd just fix it. Having been through the claim process before, I never want to go through that again unless it looked like someone stuck a book through the entire cone.

if some thing I bought was not as described I would pitch a fit too. when I bought the 4 15" splx's the guy at pack and mail packed them and the top of the box got crushed and the edge of the cardboard was rubbing the surround and made some nasty marks on it.now the sub worked fine but still it looked like ***.what do you do? make a claim! but the guy didnt make the claim with fedex he paid me himself.it took 3 months to get my money from the owner of pack and mail. i called the guy everyday for a week strait sometimes 2-3 times a day.
