fastest uve driven?

erm, dbhittin, read my post again man...

i said i dunno about the cobra....

my point here was, you're trying to defend the jap cars with a wrong model. The skyline should be the LAST model you choose.

Choose a supra, NSX, or my fav, the RX7...but not 4WD cars man. Japanese mftrs make 4WD's cause

1. it's a requirement in the motorsports category (rally)

2. novelty for people to spend more money

3. show off their technology

A R34 GT-S would be faster in straight line acceleration than a R34 GT-R

What im trying to say is, he thinks all these american cars are better than the jap cars and i think that imports are better cars and most of them will handle better than a american car

WRONG!!! I was out but I wont be misquoted. The only reason I chose the examples I did was to counter your arguement. Both import and domestic makers have awesome cars, I have no preference overall, there is always a different car for a different task. I like all cars. Your views aren't quite the same though, you seem to have an extreme bias, thats something you're going to have to take care of yourself.

it's hard to measure the handling of a car...

skidpad, slalom figures... the viper pulls 1G.. incredible...

yet, i can't imagine it tackling downhill courses.

The integra type R... a flimsy 200HP FWD... yet it has the potential to keep up with a porsche carrera 2 in a short course, even after many laps.

Numbers don't apply in some cases. Also, remember, American culture prefers the drag strip, measuring quarter mile times.

Ask a European or Asian about quarter mile times of a skyline and he'll tell you he's got no clue what you're talking about. (An aussie would know though, they like the drags too)

Asian cars are either

1. economical

or

2. built for handling on tracks (not strips but tracks)

I say it's hard to make a direct comparison. Sorta like trying to compare a treo CSX with a W7.
