Fastest ipod interface?

Hello all, I know I'm new here, but I am in search of a new deck, namely one with the fastest ipod interface. So teh question is, which interface is faster, alpine's or pioneer's? I don;t really have that much money to spend on a deck, somewhere around $250 would be nice. I don't need time alignment or anything fancy like that, just a deck that will interface with my ipod and have the quickest time scrolling through and selecting songs on my ipod. Thanks!

i believe alpine is on their 3rd or 4th generation with ipod capatibility where as eclipse and pioneer and kenwood are on their 2nd

I think the new alpine that focuses on the ipod will be your best bet and probably sound the best.

2007 pioneer head units like the 590ib or the 690ub come with the ipod cable and the ipod speed is every bit as fast as the ipod itself.

It also kinda needs to have a CD player as well, though. Thanks for the help, but would there be any issues with using those in conjunction with an XM tuner? And would the XM have about as good a sound quality as the CD or ipod? Thanks!

Look at the alpine 9856, around $190 and fast I-pod controll. You need a $30 adapter as well. Im selling above setup in about 1 week when I put my 880 back in. LMK if your interested.

^ i personally own this setup. ALMOST as fast as the ipod itself.
