FAR CRY for PC?

So, I picked this game up as a time-killer. Wow. I'm seriously impressed. I don't play games too often, but I havent been able to turn this one off since I started!

My one comment, is when you are kicked out the the helicoptor (dam, save 1), I just can't seem to survive! 10 bullets, and an island full of badies that usually take 3 headshots to kill!

Anyone have experience? Care to offer sugguestions, or how you made it through?

For those of you that havent' picked it up, I would sugguest it. The climate is much different than most fps games... I like the intense jungle/awesome beach layout. I actually HATE small maps, and the playing areas are so diverse, you can literally attack from anywhere! N, S, E, W... and you can scope from incredible distances...

Smart AI, too.

I am about to buy it since I just got a new video card, and have wanted to play this game for a while. Just curious what video card you have? Can you run graphics at full acceleration?

i ran it on high settigns with a 9800pro. my 512mb of ram was what held me back the most in that game. i upgraded to 1024mb and the game ran much smoother. i haven't tried it with my 6800gt yet.

It's been a year since I finished that game. Still in my head as one of, if not the most enjoyable game (any platform) I've played. I sold my like-new retail set for only around $10 on eBay.

If I remember correctly. When you get kicked off the copter, you have to kill the one dude that's waiting for you, then high-tail it to a grounded copter (on the lower-level after falling off the falls/cliff, to use their machine gun to clear the area.

Thanks for the headsup, but hightailin' it doesn't get me too far, considering the monkeys on ecstacy just run me down with the jumping (one hit kill) crap.

I'll try to sneak around a little later on, I just avoided the one guy on the top level, and jumped down, and he follows you and dies! Kinda funny, actually. Saves you 4 rounds too.
