Fantasy Football.....Portis or Tiki??

We just held our drawing and I got to choose where I draft 7th out of 12th. The top 6 in order chose 1, 2, 3, 5, 12, 6....And I chose 4th. I know LT, LJ and Alexander will be top 3, so who should I take with the 4th pick?? I still have a couple weeks until draft day but I like getting feedback on who people think is better.

Right now, I am leaning towards Portis with a new OC in Washington (KC's old guy) and with Tiki getting older and Brandon Jacobs taking away more goal line carries.

i would say kevin jones but in mike martz offense he isn't gonna get a lot of carries
laugh now, but he did lead the league in ypc avg. with 5.3 and had longer 30+yrds runs than any other back in the league. He also runs a 4.13 40.

idk how your point system works, but why not take a quarterback?
Typical point system....1 point for every 10 rushing yards, 6 points for a TD.

The reason I won't take a QB with a top 5 or 6 pick, last year MANY Qb's put up around the same amount of points. The difference in fantasy between a 1st and 2nd round RB taken is HUGE where the difference between a QB taken in the 1st or 2nd is very slim.

last i remember they don't run 40-yard dashes in the nfl //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i don't see him holding up as the feature back

This is an easy question. While Tiki may run for yardage and catch passes, he doesn't score many touchdowns. Also consider the fact that Brandon Jacobs is going to butt-pirate short yardage situations from him even more this year. The last 5 games of 2005 Portis carried for over 100 yards each game and scored most of his touchdowns. The Redskins are on the way up and Gibbs is letting Portis do more. Portis ftw.

I'd take Tiki. Teams are going to key in on Portis and make the Skins win the game passing the ball. Whereas when playing the Giants, you've got Eli who's going to be better this year, and teams aren't going to put as many players in the box. Also, where Portis has more Rushing TD's than Tiki, Tiki is more of a threat to catch the ball in the backfield.
