Fans of Hip Hop

Okay, I'm not a huge fan of hip hop, but I do like some stuff. Specifically, I like to play it sometimes in my car with the sub turned up. But I'm really picky and am having a hell of a time weeding through the stuff I really don't like. Mostly 36 Mafia, TI, 50 Cent... club shit. That shit that sounds like a bunch of bees droning about rims.

Can someone suggest some really GOOD stuff for me to check out? Here is a list of the rap music that I really like, so I'm looking for stuff similar to this:

Pharcyde (Favorite!)

Eminem

Twista

Bone Thugs

Bizzy Bone

Krayzie Bone

Eric B. & Rakim

(old)Snoop Doggy Dogg

Coolio

Black Moon

A Tribe Called Quest

Dr. Octagon (can't find his stuff around here, though...)

Sir Mix-a-lot

Tupac

Others, but that's all of the top of my head. I'm mostly listening to stuff on Youtube to see what I want to go buy. I just hate buying a CD and not being able to listen to it.

Also, I'm looking for stuff with a lot of good bass tracks. And I like those machine gun rappers (Twista, etc.) or killer beats (Pharcyde, Eric B.)

Suggestions?

Well you should look into newer guys, like Mr. Lif, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Roots, Talib Kweli, MF Doom, Danger Doom (MF Doom and DJ Dangermouse (sick beats), Madvillian and that sort of thing. Theres also Pharaohe Monche. As far as white guys, check out Aesop Rock and Atmosphere. Really talented guys.

I've never heard of any of them except the Roots. I think Dangermouse used to do stuff for Adult Swim or something. The names familiar. But that's a good list to start searching. Thanks.

Keep 'em coming! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif
