Fan Noise in Speakers

I installed a cylinder fan to keep my amp from occasionally overheating. I'm now getting noise through my speakers from the fan. I wired it to the remote turn on on the amp and grounded it to the same place that all the ground leads are bolted to. I've tried alternate grounds and power hook-ups to no avail. The only way it runs without creating noise is to connect it straight to the battery and then it runs constantly. Can anyone help me with this? I've thought about keeping it connected to the battery and installing an on/off switch. Would some type of inline noisebreaker help if I connected it back to the amp's remote turn on? Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Sam
